Terms of Use
Effective date: May 13, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Corrido ("we," "us," or "our"), including the Corrido mobile application and related services. By creating an account or using Corrido, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Corrido. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Your Account
When you create a Corrido account, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us promptly at support@trycorrido.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You may only maintain one account per person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all recordings, text, family data, and other content you create within Corrido ("Your Content"). By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to store, process, and deliver Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your authorized family members.
Your Content is private to your family space. We do not access, share, or use Your Content for advertising, training, or any purpose beyond operating the service on your behalf.
4. Family Collaboration
Corrido organizes content within family spaces. Each family space has three membership roles:
- Owner — full control, including managing members, exporting archives, deleting or restoring any story, and inviting new members.
- Contributor — can add stories and people, edit family relationships, and delete stories they created.
- Viewer — can browse and listen to stories.
Owners control who can access their family space through invite links, which expire after 7 days. You are responsible for the people you invite and the role you assign them.
5. Acceptable Use
Corrido is designed for preserving family stories, traditions, and history. You agree not to:
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or violates the rights of others.
- Use the service for purposes unrelated to family archiving.
- Attempt to access other users' data or circumvent security measures.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the service.
6. Beta Service
Corrido is currently in beta. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
While we make reasonable efforts to protect your data, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that data will never be lost. We recommend keeping local copies of any recordings that are irreplaceable.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Corrido and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, recordings, or content, regardless of the cause of action or the theory of liability.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the Corrido app. When you delete your account:
- Your account is deactivated and your sessions are revoked immediately.
- Your stories are removed from family archives.
- Families you own become read-only for other members.
- Your data will be permanently purged from our systems within 30 days.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, with or without notice.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of Corrido after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
